outdoor family photoshoot

Family Hoppe // Nonsuch Park

I am walking next to Joanna, the mum of the family and she is showing me the way to a great open field dotted with trees. "Wow," I say. "I never realised Nonsuch Park opened up like this! This is fantastic!". I have been here once or twice before but Nonsuch Park is not my usual go-to park. During this photoshoot, I fall in love with it completely.

Driving slowly through Richmond Park I see that there are lots of stags and deer out! "I hope we get to see some at the session", I am thinking to myself. The rain has just stopped and the sun is peeking through the largely grey cloud-covered sky.

We head out to explore the park together. Neither one of us has been here before. There is a large lake nearby which we walk towards. On the way, there is also time for chestnut picking and squirrel-spotting. I especially enjoy the squirrel part! They are super cute!

Gemma opened the door to the backseat of her car and a gust of wind sent some leaves twirling and rustling around on the gravel ground. "Jumpers on!". Archer looked around rather disapprovingly whilst Bertie couldn't keep himself from telling me all about Woody and Buzz in his own made up language – the kind of language only a 19month old can make up.

We walked over to the Isabella Plantation and suddenly the rain poured down in full power. Pouring down, drenching us all. We sought shelter under a big oak tree. Alex immediately started showing off his tree climbing skills, haha! And once mum had caught up with us, we headed in through the gate.

My first impression was a warm sense of welcome. They were all happy to see me. The whole lot were wearing some sort of jeans blue and both the little girls wore their blonde hair out loose. I had secretly practiced their names before getting into my car but was still very delighted when I got them right!
