Did you ever think that a photoshoot might be the best way to remember the area where your child grew up?
This family certainly did! They were moving out of Barnes and wanted to have some photographs of Alex in his childhood environment to remember the area by.
Julie got in touch with me after bumping into me in the local park, the playground between the railway tracks. As they were moving to the countryside she half-jokingly suggested her son might want to remember once being a London boy. As a result, I had the honour of photographing sweet little Alex, first in his home where he has grown up, and then by the pond in Barnes where he has spent many a day with his mummy and daddy, running up and down the ramp to the OSO Art's centre.
Alex was such an active little man who just loved running around, throwing balls and see them bounce, aeroplane spotting and giving his cat some nice cuddles and strokes. We had to watch him closely by the pond as, much like most toddlers, he did not have much sense of staying away from the edge. Luckily he didn't decide to go for a swim today ;-) We saw lots of birds and swans and dogs in the park and Alex stayed smiley and happy throughout the photo session – he was an absolute star!
